The Economic Development Board of Madagascar (EDBM) and the France Madagascar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFM) reached a new milestone this Wednesday, April 15, 2026. By officializing this partnership at EDBM's headquarters in Antaninarenina, both institutions are strengthening a longstanding collaboration dedicated to promoting investment and providing structured support for businesses.
This agreement, signed by Mrs. Josielle Rafidy (CEO of EDBM) and Mrs. Johanne Raharinosy (President of CCIFM), formalizes initiatives that are already underway, such as their joint participation in the Francotech 2024 trade show and the recent organization of business climate days for Indian Ocean delegations.
The protocol aims to maximize the impact of joint initiatives around four pillars: promoting investment opportunities, supporting investors, assisting with establishment or reinvestment projects, and enhancing the international visibility of Madagascar as a business destination.
As the National Investment Promotion Agency, EDBM acts as a single point of contact to streamline procedures for investors. For its part, CCIFM brings the strength of its network of 450 companies, facilitating networking and the development of solid business partnerships between local and international stakeholders.
The shared ambition is clear: increase investment flows and strengthen economic ties. The next step in this collaboration will take place in Moroni on April 27, 28, and 29, 2026, during the 15th Economic Forum of the Indian Ocean Islands, demonstrating a strong commitment to regional integration.
